ABOUT ME

I am a qualified counsellor dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where individuals can process and explore what matters to them.

Everyone experiences life differently and will face changes, challenges or feel stuck at different points in their life. These challenges or feeling stuck can manifest in different ways impacting your mood, relationships, ability to think straight or feeling like you are surviving rather than thriving. It can be overwhelming to navigate through these feelings alone. Whatever brings you to therapy I am here to support you on your journey and my aim is to provide a calm space free of judgement to explore these challenges together at your pace to have a better understanding of yourself and feel more in control of your life and wellbeing.

Counselling has helped me to understand myself and find my own path through difficult times. It was daunting to share with someone you don’t know, but I found it was easier talking to someone who isn't closely connected to your life and the people in it. In many cultures, counseling, therapy, and mental health are often considered taboo. This lack of dialogue can lead to feelings of isolation for those grappling with emotional struggles. Counselling allowed me to confront these societal norms and gain a deeper understanding of my own identity. It provided me with the tools to reflect on my experiences and fostered a newfound awareness that has been empowering in my journey of self-discovery.

I am passionate about breaking the stigma attached to mental health and fostering a holistic understanding of mental well-being that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit.

My approach:

I am a person-centred counsellor and life coach. I integrate a range of mainly humanistic therapeutic methods tailoring how I work for each individual and their needs unique. The core of my therapy is based on the belief that we possess the answers we seek within us and change is possible. My role as your counsellor is to facilitate a space where you can express yourself freely to explore layers of emotions, thoughts, and behaviors and make sense of them to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and uncover the answers that lie within you.

I have a calm and gentle approach taking care to cultivate a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, and genuine connection as it’s important you feel safe when opening up and sharing your personal thoughts without judgement.

In our sessions you decide what you want to share and talk about. This is your process and we will work at your pace with what you bring and how it is impacting you in your present or preventing you from moving forward. You are at the centre of the process and as your counsellor my aim is to create a space where you feel empowered to explore your unique issues honouring the complexity of your identity and experiences, to navigate the world authentically.
